
MACHINE ELIGIBILTY
Pre 60
- Pre 60 class is for any machine manufactured before 31st December 1960
- Pre 60 machines must have Blue number plates with White numbers
- No light weight hubs unless original Pre 60 equipment
- Replica frames are permitted
- Pre 60 may use Methanol
- Machines must have a front fork travel maximum of 6.5 inches. Rear wheel spindle movement maximum of 4 inches
- External reservoir shocks are not permitted
- Front fork stanchions must not exceed 35mm
- Must have drum brakes
Pre 68
- Pre 68 class is for any machine manufactured before 31st December 1968
- Pre 68 up to 350cc must have White number plates with Black numbers
- Pre 68 over 350cc must have Black plates with White numbers
- Pre 68 may use Methanol
- Any carburettor, no flat slides
- Machines must have front fork travel maximum of 6.5 inches. Rear wheel spindle movement maximum of 4 inches
- Replica frames are permitted
- External reservoir shocks are not permitted
- Front fork stanchions must not exceed 35mm
- Must have drum brakes
Pre 74
- Pre 74 class will be for 1973 models or older
- Pre 74 up to 300cc must have Green plates with White numbers
- Pre 74 over 300cc must have Yellow plates with Black numbers
- Any carburettor, no flat slides
- External reservoir shocks are not permitted
- Pre 74 Machines must have fork travel maximum of 7.5 inches. Rear wheel spindle movement maximum of 4 inches.
- Front fork stanchions must not exceed 35mm
- Replica frames are permitted
- Methanol Fuel not permitted
- Must have drum brakes
Pre 78
- Pre 78 class will be for 1977 models or older.
- Pre 78 must have White plates with Black numbers
- Any carburettor may be used
- Must have drum brakes
- Replica frames are permitted
- Front suspension may have a maximum travel of 10 inches measured on the stanchion. Conventional telescopic and leading axle forks must have a maximum external diameter of 38mm
- Rear wheel suspension movement is limited to 10 inches, measured at the axle at the rearmost of its chain adjustment slot.
Pre 84
- Pre 84 class is for any machine manufactured before 31st December 1984
- Pre 84 up to 250cc must have Green plates with White numbers
- Pre 84 over 250cc must have Green plates with Black numbers
- Any carburettor may be used
- Must have drum brakes
- Up to 250cc Water cooled machines are permitted
- Over 250cc must be Air cooled
- Replica frames are permitted
- Suspension unspecified
- Front fork stanchions must not exceed 42mm
- No upside down forks
Pre 89 125cc, 250cc, 500cc
- Pre 89 class is for any machine manufactured before 31st December 1989
- Pre 89 125cc must have Black plates with White numbers
- Pre 89 250cc must have Green plate with White numbers
- Pre 89 500cc must have Yellow plates with Black numbers
General Eligibility
- Machines presented for use at the event MUST be in race worthy condition
- All machines must be fitted with an engine cut-out button
- All machines must be fitted with self-closing throttles
- All machines must have clutch and front brake levers must be of the ball end type
- All machines must have folding footrests
Eligibility complaints must be submitted in writing to the Committee.
